In Volga-Dnieper the first stage of the project on development of EDMS BOSS-Referent is completed

The joint team of specialists from Volga-Dnieper Group and Smart Team Service company broke to the second stage of the project for development of EDMS BOSS-Referent. In a project deliverable updating of the version of an electronic document management system, its functional and territorial expansion will be made.

In Volga-Dnieper Group — the largest Russian cargo airline and the world leader in a segment of transportations of superheavy and bulky goods — the first stage of the project for development of an electronic document management system BOSS-Referent was completed. Let's remind that the first implementation of EDMS BOSS-Referent on the Lotus IBM platform in Volga-Dnieper group took place in 2004, and the version of a system used so far required updating and development.

As a result of the work which is carried out by a joint team of specialists of Volga-Dnieper Group and Smart Team Service company (partner of BOSS-Referent LLC) necessary data were collected and analyzed, requirements to the workflow system are formalized and the optimal solution is designed.

Now the second, final stage including trial operation, replication and input in commercial operation of EDMS started.

Project deliverable will become:

• optimization existing and a scope of the additional business processes remaining outside implementation of the previous version;
• uniform base of storage of the regulating documentation;
• updating of the existing version of a system BOSS-Referent and synchronization of data;
• the English-language interface — a part of jobs is set in foreign missions of the company;
• completion of formation of uniform documentary space of Volga-Dnieper Group.

Project implementation will allow Volga-Dnieper Group to integrate management processes, to increase efficiency of work with documents and to strengthen processes of control of performing discipline.

Besides, the geography of users of an electronic document management system will be expanded: if initially it covered only two companies of Group — "Volga-Dnieper-Moscow" and "Volga-Dnieper Airline", then now it will be extended to Airbridzhkargo Airline, and on "Volga-Dnieper by Tekhniks Moscow". A system should integrate two command centers — Moscow and Ulyanovsk. Within the project 300 more jobs will be in addition connected to 136 already available.

"The project is performed together with Smart Team Service company. A choice of the contractor was made on the basis of tender, taking into account presence at this command of system approach and experience in the solution of similar tasks and also in maintenance and post warranty service of systems — the project manager from Volga-Dnieper Group Victoria Polovova notes. — The project is implemented by the command integrating specialists from four companies entering into Volga-Dnieper Group the Staff of the company who highly appreciated qualification of the involved specialists with optimism are configured on implementation of the most responsible and difficult stage — trial operation and implementation".

During 2012 the Volga-Dnieper group, is also going to perform further expansion of functionality of a system by connection of the new modules entering the new version of EDMS "BOSS-Referent" 3.2.7 and also due to completion of the existing functionality under the growing requirements of the company.
