Kazfosfat LLP and SAP company announced results of successful SAP implementation of ERP in November, 2011. In 12 months in Kazfosfat LLP the solution which allowed to optimize business processes of financial and economic and commercial blocks and to integrate them based on a corporate information system is implemented. The ERP Service company became the contractor on implementation.

Implementing solution of SAP allows Kazfosfat LLP to bring key business processes to the high level of efficiency necessary for the company in connection with rapid growth and scales of activity. 7 enterprises in different regions of Kazakhstan are a part of Kazfosfat LLP today, the total number of employees is 5860 people. The product line of the company contains more than 20 product names, supplied to the markets of Kazakhstan, Eastern and Western Europe, the CIS countries and China. In process of growth of business became more and more obvious that in the company it is necessary to create the unified information system for support of key business processes, acceptance of management decisions, control behind debit / accounts payable, managements of material flows, costs and sales accounting of finished goods.

Implementation of such system would allow to refuse separate accounting, to reduce a reporting set-up time on places and its transfers to head office, to provide an information access about activity of any of 7 branches of Kazfosfat LLP in real time. According to the criteria which are put forward by the management of Kazfosfat LLP, the new solution had to meet the following requirements: existence of a single network, the database and an information system for all branches of the company, a possibility of online access to information, the functionality covering all business processes of the enterprise, data security, flexibility of setup at change of business requirements and compliance to the international standards. On analysis results of the management systems for the enterprises presented at the market, a choice was made for benefit of software solutions of SAP company: SAP ERP, SAP Solution Manager and SAP Enterprise Portal.

The project on SAP implementation of ERP was carried out from December 3, 2007 to December 31, 2008. In seven branches and two offices of Kazfosfat LLP solution modules of SAP were implemented: accounting (SAP FI), fixed asset accounting (SAP AM), the cost accounting (Managerial accounting) (SAP WITH), management of material flows (SAP of MM), sales management (SAP SD), accounting of agreements (SAP CMS). At each stage user training was provided thanks to what by the time of complete start of SAP ERP a considerable part of personnel of Kazfosfat LLP already had work experience in a new system. It allowed to simplify process of transition to productive operation. SAP implementations of Solution Manager and SAP Enterprise Portal by own forces of staff of department of information technologies of Kazfosfat LLP became the next stages of development of the unified information system based on SAP ERP. Their purpose – to provide to the staff of the company an information access and a possibility of joint work in virtual environment out of corporate network.

Implementing solution of SAP allowed to optimize management of finance of Kazfosfat LLP, to simplify and accelerate acceptance of management decisions. For example, the consolidated financial and management reporting according to the results of last month is provided to the management in the first half of current month whereas in earlier used system such report on all branches formed only to the 25th and to make any management decisions on current month was already late. In the course of implementing solution of SAP uniform reference books by partners, materials and agreements were created that allowed to build transparent and effective financial processes of the company, to exclude duplication of information.

Now in a system about 200 users – accountant officers, financial service, marketing departments, purchases and sale, the QC supervisor, storekeepers, power engineering specialists, economists of workshops in all branches of the company work. Modules of SAP in which the staff of different divisions works were united in the general corporate system that allowed to build work of all services on uniform regulations, to achieve operational and single information input in a system, to reduce information processing time. Operational data entry and existence of various reports in the system of SAP give the chance to collect, to analyze and predict key commercial indicators: level of income from implementation, cost value, quality, volumes and sales channels of the sold products, costs for its implementation, allow to control behind debit / accounts payable and material flows, business processes of contractual accounting Are optimized: the uniform agreement base in which it is possible to monitor their execution and the status on separate divisions and on the company in general is created, to receive analytical reports in real time.

In plans of Kazfosfat LLP next stages of development of the SAP solution: setup of business processes of service Service Desk in Solution Manager packet, product introduction for production management (SAP PP), maintenance and repair of the equipment (SAP PM) and project management (SAP PS).
