Developers: ZWSoft
Last Release Date: November, 2011
Technology: CAD

The ZWSOFT company from the People's Republic of China provided in November, 2011 the second set of updates of Service Pack 2 for the automated design engineering system and preproduction of three-dimensional parts of ZW3D. Updates from SP2 offer users a number of significant improvements in a part of speed and convenience of work and also correct the found errors in program components.

On assurances of the producer, with the Service Pack 2 installation the output speed of images in a packet of ZW3D 2011 increases by 12 times in comparison with the version of ZW3D 2011 SP1. For example, the speed of the transactions of viewing connected with copying, scaling, turn and also inclusion and switching off of textures is increased by 40-50%. In a display mode of a framework of parts the speed of copying of the image became twice higher, and copying in the mode of the hidden lines was tripled.

Trajectories of the cutting tool in programs for CNC machines are calculated (with five axes) 5 times quicker now. Transactions of cutting of zigzags and a direct cut are improved at the expense of an opportunity to bring the tool to a part from the outside when the tool is in a status "is included" ("on") or "finished transaction" ("past"). Tactics of processing of Mill3 is improved at the expense of an opportunity to set the maximum and minimum restrictions on use of tools – these restrictions the user can set.

In the fields of cutting of sheet metal and 3D - modeling such improvements as print preview in real time appeared. The updated function of development supports additional types of the imported models. New parameter of height allows to manage the sizes of edges, and at an insert of components in assemblies it is possible to use the supporting surfaces now as the directing frame. The Hole command ("Opening") received additional parameters. Besides, there was one more new command for creation of cylindrical stacks from parts.
