The Lantri company submitted the vRain system designed for support of workload in the small company in December, 2011. A system is intended for fast and simple deployment of the environment of virtualization taking into account all business needs of small and medium business or remote office of the enterprise, says Lantri.

So, using modern technologies of virtualization, vRain allows: reduce time of initialization of systems for 50–70%; to operate on a centralized basis virtual machines; avoid scheduled downtimes due to transfer of the working virtual machines; provide dynamic selection of IT resources on a basis the politician with automatic distribution of loadings; automate accomplishment of the repeating problems of setup and service; to smoothly execute updates and to increase the platform hardware; to flexibly distribute resources; use operating systems which in the best way are suitable for the solution of the arising tasks; plan maintenance of servers without interruption of service of business thanks to flexibility of distribution of loadings between physical servers.

In general the solution vRain includes: a standard 24U (42U, 48U) server rack with highly effective multi-purpose servers of h86-architecture in the body from 1U to 5U high — servers contain from one to four Intel processors or AMD (support random access memory capacity to 1TB on the server); the storage area network built based on DWH, iSCSI 1Gb/10Gb, FC using the data transfer protocols iSCSI and FC with capacity – 8Gb and amount on demand; high-performance FiberChannel and Ethernet switches with ports 1/10Gb from 24 ports, with a connectivity of optical lines 1/10Gb; the source of uninterrupted power supply providing the necessary battery life of the active server hardware of 10 minutes; distributing and switching of cables in a rack; the preset hypervisor.

According to Lantri, the vRain system is tested and completely ready to work. Using the 60-day trial license of a hypervisor, the customer has an opportunity to save on acquisition of permanent licenses and their quantity, having limited only to that functionality which business applications need.
