Rostelecom will create VPN network for the Federal Tax Service

Announced Rostelecom a victory at the auction held by request of the Federal Tax Service. The company will create a virtual private network (VPN) which will integrate more than 2.6 thousand divisions of FTS in all territorial subjects of the Russian Federation for FTS, and within two years will provide the communication services necessary for its functioning. Total amount of the contract exceeded 1.6 billion rubles.

It is planned that the VPN technology will integrate geographically distributed departments of FTS in the single protected corporate network with a full range of telecommunication services and guaranteed high degree of reliability. At the same time, as expected, use of VPN technology will allow to cut down significantly expenses on telecommunication services in comparison with traditional technologies of communication.
