December 15, 2011. Asteros and SITRONICS companies created the Data Processing Center (DPC) for Bashneft - one of the largest in the Ural region. After commissioning of DPC allowed to consolidate information resources of the company and became a core of the centralized IT infrastructure.

Bashneft is the vertically integrated oil company conducting exploration and production of oil on more than 170 fields in the territory of Bashkiria, the Orenburg region, the Khanty-Mansi and Nenets autonomous areas, products of a petrochemical complex of the company (three Refineries and petroleum chemical plant) are sold for export and in domestic market, including through retail network from 460 gas stations in three regions and also small wholesale through representations more than in 20 regions of Russia. To organize the centralized processing and highly reliable data access and to crucial business applications of the company, the company management Bashneft made the decision on creation of a powerful failsafe data processing center.

The consortium as a part of SITRONICS Bashkortostan and Asteros companies became the contractor of the project. The SITRONICS Bashkortostan LLC company entering the SITRONICS Information Technologies business direction acted as the general contractor.

Creation of data center, with a total area about 400 sq.m., was made "turnkey" and included all cycle of works, beginning from the choice of the site for construction and finishing with commissioning of all engineering and technology systems.

During the project 18 systems among which a LAN, a storage system, the systems of physical protection, power supply, ventilation and conditioning, fire safety and fire extinguishing, access control, a security alarm, video surveillance, the notification about emergency situations and also schedulings and controls of the equipment were implemented.

Reliability and fault tolerance provides reservation of the key engineering systems with degree 2N that sets indicators of availability of DPC higher than the level of requirements of category Tier III for Uptime Institute classification.

Climate control of data center in which racks with total power of energy consumption up to 560 kW are located is provided by the mixed cooling system with use of both the traditional equipment of a system of cold supply, and the cooling devices located between racks. During creation of DPC the advanced technical solutions and the equipment of world leading manufacturers were applied. So, the local computer network and storage systems are based on Cisco and EMC technologies. For physical protection against external influences the protected Lampertz premises are used. Power supply is constructed on solutions of APC and Schneider Electric companies. Control systems of access, a security alarm and supervisory control are designed using the products BOLID and Delta Controls.

All systems are implemented according to requirements of international standard ANSI/TIA/EIA-942 and internal standards of Bashneft company for creation of technology premises. The DPC became a core of the centralized and reliable IT infrastructure and allows to reduce considerably operating costs of information systems", – Alexey Karpov, the director of the department of the engineering systems of Asteros company is sure.
