On December 15, 2011 the companies Microsoft and Temenos, solution provider for banks, held testing of scalability and system performance of TEMENOS T24 (T24) based on the preliminary version of Microsoft SQL Server 2012. Testing showed record results of system performance, having confirmed high rates of scalability and effective cost for large banks. Testing was held in September, 2011 in Microsoft Platform Adoption Center in Redmond, Washington. During testing performance and scalability of T24 R12 on the basis of preliminary Microsoft SQL Server version 2012 was measured.

The standardized benchmark reflected work of bank retail from 25 million as accounts, 15 million as users in 2000 offices.

Within testing the standardized benchmark which imitated work of large bank from 25 million as accounts which services 15 million users at 20,000 offices was used. Peak load of a system made 11,500 transactions per second in the scenario Online bank and averaged more than 10000 charges and removals of percent on income and the credits per second when testing the scenario "Closing of Banking Day". In total processing of 25 million charges and removals of percent was less than 42 minutes. Testing also showed a possibility of scalability to 95%.

"Banks face new calls, such as the increased requirements to capitalization which more than ever influence profit and force to look for constantly new opportunities for increase in cost efficiency. Investments into effective technologies are that necessary component which helps banks to increase productivity and profitability. The results received during testing confirmed that the T24 (T24) platform based on Microsoft SQL Server 2012, is that software solution which completely meets the requirements of business, offering it improbable scalability at the low total ownership cost and also necessary flexibility which helps to accelerate entry into the market that legacy systems cannot provide", - Andre Loustau, Chief Technology Officer of Temenos company noted.
"Legacy technologies have negative effect on an opportunity to react quickly to today's large-scale and complex changes of the market, and financial institutions well it understand, - Robert Hunt, the senior director on the researches TowerGroup, Corporate Executive Board company told. – Banks even more often implement implementation projects of the new modern key systems to receive necessary flexibility and the high level of operational efficiency which is necessary for more effective work. The Microsoft platform based on which leading manufacturers propose solutions for processing completely meets these requirements".
"The results of performance shown by the preliminary version of SQL Server 2012 once again confirm those opportunities which they will be available in the final version of a product. Such results became possible thanks to close interaction with the strategic partner by TEMENOS company, and together we help our customers to react instantly to new business requirements and to help them to maximize efficiency and TCO", - Joe Pagano, the managing director for work as financial institutions, Microsoft.
