Baikonur Cosmodrome (SAP ERP)

On the Baikonur complex in Kazakhstan the "pilot" implementation project of the ERP system which originally will cover accounting of material values and the rendered services is performed, and further it will be expanded at the expense of HRM and BI of functionality and also the MRO block.

The government of Kazakhstan made the decision on implementation of the ERP system of SAP on the Baikonur complex. The choice of the automation system was carried out based on the open tender announced in October, 2006 by Space committee of the Ministry of Education and Science of Kazakhstan. The Itellidzhens company will become the contractor of the project.

As object of implementation of a pilot project on implementation the Republican state enterprise "Infrakos" which has the exclusive right to perform business activities based on objects and property of the Baikonur complex from Kazakhstan is selected. Its responsibility includes ensuring safety and rational use of the objects of a complex which did not be a part rented by the Russian Federation and also development and projects implementation of conversion of these objects.

The implementation project of the ERP system of SAP started on RGP "Infrakos" in 2006. Accounting and management of the rendered services, accounting of the movement of material values and also process of issue of reports for adoption of administrative decisions on effective use of assets and material resources is supposed that use of a resource management system of the enterprise will allow to focus on the most priority issues of its development, to optimize.

At the subsequent stages development of the ERP system in the field of implementation of control over operations on maintenance, including the routine, periodic maintenance and major repairs, reconstruction and upgrades of leased objects of a complex and also over process of construction of new objects is planned. In a system the accounting of capital investments of the Russian side into the objects of Baikonur leased will be carried out. The HRM functionality of a system will allow to pursue more effective HR policy on a complex, including to organize personnel training.

Use of the analytical module SAP Business Analytics will allow to obtain the analytical information necessary for adoption of executive decisions on use of assets of a complex and the investment attraction in development of land space infrastructure at any moment.
