Staff of ELIAS company completed implementation of the 1C: Manufacturing Enterprise Management 8 program in group of Odysseys. The new information system covered 70 jobs, allowed to facilitate significantly processing procedure of orders and to reduce terms of production of finished goods.

The company of Odysseys is engaged in production of component parts for kitchen furniture and also proposes own ready-made solutions by standard and individual orders. "Odysseus" works at the market of production of kitchen furniture more than 15 years and is a permanent participant and the winner of the international exhibitions in the field of the furniture industry.

Earlier in the company several years the 1C: Trade Management 8 system was successfully applied. But the increased order amount set the new tasks for the company of Odysseys: reduce time of calculation of cost of a product, exclude a possibility of errors at the description of difficult products, see and control stages of production processes of products in a system, to react timely to the shortage of materials for production.

With respect thereto the decision on transition to more powerful system allowing to control production processes, production supply with materials, and, above all to receive in the unified information system the operational analytical reports combining data on purchases, sales and production was made. At the same time it was required to save the functionality implemented in earlier used system.

As a basis for a new information system 1C: Manufacturing Enterprise Management 8 was selected. The ELIAS company having wide experience of design of information systems on the basis of the 1C:Enterprise 8 platform including successful project implementation based on 1C: Manufacturing Enterprise Management 8 was attracted to works on the project.

In a project deliverable the following areas are automated:

  • Order management of buyers;
  • Production management;
  • Inventory management;
  • Sales management;
  • Management of settlement with partners;
  • Purchase management;
  • Management of relationship with partners of CRM;
  • Pricing.

Before delivery of a system in operation training of staff of the company of Odysseys after which they passed test was provided. The tests developed by specialists ELIAS allowed to reveal weak points in knowledge and to hold additional consultations of employees on the respective areas. Specialists ELIAS transferred earlier saved up data to a new system, having made their preliminary reconciliation. All this allowed each user to adapt easily to a new system and to begin work in it without loss productivities.

System implementation of 1C: Manufacturing Enterprise Management 8 allowed:

  • Reduce order processing time. On the drawing provided by the buyer the manager describes the order in terms of a system. A system calculates the price and a complete set of a product;
  • Accelerate verification process of orders by the technologist. A system helps to control orders of the buyer, announcing input errors at the description of a product;
  • Strengthen control over accomplishment of orders in production. Information on a production phase at which there is an order became available. It allowed to provide quickly to the client information on changes of a production time;
  • Reduce idle time of machines. A system allowed to transfer to processing several orders of identical type at once;
  • Increase efficiency of preparation of materials for production. Reservation of materials under production of products happens already at a stage of formation of the order of the buyer;
  • Improve predictability of date of order fulfillment. A system allows to obtain information on materials in a warehouse and being in process of delivery from the supplier and also about employment of machines which are necessary for production of products by request. On the basis of these data a system calculates planned date of production of the order;
  • Provide more effective management of purchases. The possibility of the analysis of a warehouse taking into account liquidity, data on sales volumes and production, allows to order on the one hand beforehand the required material, and with another – not to create its surplus in a warehouse.

The head of the sales department Safiulina Victoria Sergeyevna so comments on results of the done work: "Implementation of a new system allowed to obtain more quickly and fully customer information and the carried-out transactions. Information storage about all negotiations with the buyer, agreements and sales, allows to react more flexibly to needs of the client and to offer it what is necessary then when it is necessary for it. There was an opportunity more carefully to plan production, to minimize a downtime of machines and also to quickly obtain information on deviations from the diagram of production and to timely take measures for their elimination. There was an opportunity to keep track of dynamics of sales and production and to react quickly to market changes or processes in the company".

As a result of implementation of a new system order processing time was reduced by 30%, and their quantity grew by 11%. Acceleration of production and efficiency of obtaining information on each order allowed to strengthen even more image of the enterprise at any moment as the reliable partner providing accomplishment of the taken orders in time it is qualitative and transparent for customers.
