System of regular power supply of DPC VimpelCom (Yaroslavl)

JSC VimpelCom (TM "Beeline") objyait about end of the tender for system provider of regular power supply for future data processing center (DPC) which is going to start in 2013 in Yaroslavl (DPC VimpelCom (Sovintel)).

Pacing factors at determination of the winner in the tender were the relevance and technological effectiveness of the proposed solutions conforming to modern international standards in production of the dynamic uninterruptible power supply units (UPSU) and also competitiveness of the offer.

Based on the tender the Nvision Group company will perform a full range of works on design, delivery, installation, a commissioning and the subsequent service maintenance of a system of regular power supply of DPC. A system is developed based on the UPS of Piller company (Germany) which is the world leader in production of dynamic uninterruptible power supply units.

The data processing center of JSC VimpelCom will become a part of future Technical center of the Company. This project started in May, 2011 at agreement signature about cooperation between JSC VimpelCom and the Government of the Yaroslavl region. Construction of the Technical center is the first stage of the long-term program of development of the technology real estate of JSC VimpelCom. Future Technical center is focused on optimization of the existing architecture of network of the Company and on development of the direction of providing services of "cloud" calculations (cloud computing). At its construction it is going to use the latest energy-saving technologies, relevant solutions in the field of security and also engineering and design new products.

VimpelCom pays huge attention to questions of ensuring business continuity and is the industrial leader in the field. Smooth operation of DPC in many respects depends on reliable system operation of power supply. Also important factor in modern conditions is the energy efficiency of the used solutions. We selected NVision Group as the project offered by them conformed to our requirements. Future data processing center of JSC VimpelCom will become the largest in Russia on the volume of the processed data and the number of the provided services. Using the solution developed by NVision Group we are going to reach high reliability of DPC and to considerably increase its energy efficiency", - Vitaly Zadorozhny, the director of operational risks of JSC VimpelCom commented.
