The East Equipment company has the offices practically across all territory of Russia. In 2010 there was a need of construction of the service center in Novosibirsk where diagnostics and major repair of engines and hydraulic transmissions of Caterpillar would be carried out. Due to the forthcoming opening of the new service center there was a need for a complex of IT solutions, namely - creation of a structured cabling system and the organization of telephony for ensuring operational and harmonious work of office and the service center.
NETA company it was offered to construct SCS of category 5e which optimum is suitable for data transmission with a speed of 100 Mbps. The Structured Cabling Systems (SCS) are the base on which all components of the information systems of the enterprises are based. Therefore reliability of functioning and performance of all departments and divisions of the enterprise depends on this solution. Installation of SCS was executed using guaranteed quality materials of leading manufacturers.
At design of SCS all needs of the Customer and operating conditions of this division were considered. Thanks to such approach specialists of NETA guaranteed creation of the most effective cable network with a possibility of its expansion and technical improvement. The project was implemented in short terms (in communication by the planned opening), according to requirements of the quality standards.
In addition to creation of SCS the NETA company was faced by a task to provide telephone connection for the building of the Service center and to organize a single telephone network with the central office, with a unified plan of numbering and a uniform set of functional services for users.
Compulsory use of the existing equipment installed at the central office of the customer – the PBX of Siemens HiPath 3700 was a condition of the solution of a task.
Feature of this solution was that the solution of a problem of consolidation PBX among themselves required special TDM-over-IP multiplexers which provided a broadcast of a digital synchronous flow E1 on the LAN network of the customer built based on the fiber-optic communication line.
The project included the next stages of works:
- Preproject inspection of the existing communication network of the customer with the purpose to define possible solutions of a task of the client;
- Preparation of the Technical Commercial Offer (TCO).
- Supply of equipment
- Installation, balancing and commissioning of new automatic telephone exchange and connection it to the existing automatic telephone exchange.
On it preparation of the offer 7 options of upgrade with the description of each option and the indication of its pluses and minuses, taking into account plans for further development of IT infrastructure were offered to the customer. The most optimal variant selected option of installation of telephones to the building of the service center using the PBX of Siemens Hipath 3800 and connection it to E1 existing the PBX of Siemens HiPath 3700 on a digital stream.
In the building of the Service center installation of the PBX of Siemens HiPath 3800 with setup according to technical specifications of the customer was made, at the central office retrofitting of the PBX was made by the equipment for the organization of connection to the PBX of the service center.
At the last stage connection of the PBX of Siemens HiPath3800 of the service center to the PBX of Siemens HiPath3700 of the central office for E1 digital stream using TDM-over-IP of multiplexers and LAN network of the customer as the transport environment was organized.
After project implementation the customer received high-quality telephone communication in the new building of the service center, consolidation in a single network of communication of the PBX of the central office and service center, a unified plan of numbering of network and a uniform set of functional services for users.
Were provided:
- communication between the staff of the central office and service center direct dialing of the extension,
- flexible routing of the entering and outgoing calls
- possibility of call intercept in network
- possibility of holding of conferences,
- possibility of call transfer on other subscriber of network (both on internal, and on the external line),
- readdressing of all calls on one device (for example, the manager or the secretary),
- the subscriber's call in network clicking of one key.

The project was implemented in the specified time frames, according to requirements of the quality standards.
