The Astrakhan branch of JSC "Rostelecom" won the tender of the regional Ministry of Health for creation of a virtual corporate network (VPN) for 175 connection points.
The network will integrate all organizations of area relating to medicine: hospitals, clinics, centers, clinics, blood transfusion stations, children's homes, maternity hospitals, out-patient clinics, emergency stations, etc.
On number of connection points, VPN of the Ministry of Health will become the largest corporate network in the region. Data transfer rate will make 2 Mbps. The first 16 points will be united in VPN network at the end of 2011, and project completion is planned for the fourth quarter 2012.
