Moscow, on January 11, 2012. — The Microsoft company announced signing with Kaspersky Lab of the delivery agreement of the latest software products and solutions of Microsoft. It is one of the largest international transactions of Microsoft in Russia which conditions assume delivering solutions in foreign representative offices of Kaspersky Lab in Western and Eastern Europe, Northern and Southern America, in the Middle East and in Africa, in the Pacific Rim.

This agreement is designed to provide standardization of global IT infrastructure of Kaspersky Lab. It assumes delivery of the new software for more than 2100 computers, deployment of uniform infrastructure on more than 400 servers and also creation of a private cloud in data centers of the company.

"The agreement includes the most complete line of solutions of Microsoft which will help Kaspersky Lab to solve business challenges and to provide standardization of IT infrastructure. We are sure that this agreement is a guarantee of successful cooperation of our companies both today, and in the future", – Nikolay Pryanishnikov, the president of Microsoft in Russia commented on an event.
"We use technologies of Microsoft many years and are happy with results, – Tikhonov Andrey, the CIO of Kaspersky Lab says. – The signed agreement is a next step on the way of increase in efficiency of our company using the latest technologies. It will allow to unify our software and IT infrastructure worldwide, applying optimum suitable solutions".

The agreement with Kaspersky Lab illustrates trends which are observed in the market of information technologies of Russia today. Among them:

  • Increase in demand for solutions on business process management. Kaspersky Lab successfully implemented a customer relationship management system of Microsoft Dynamics CRM and also applies a project management system of Microsoft Enterprise Project Management (EPM) 2010.
  • Increase in interest of the companies in solutions for the joint communications and joint work. Kaspersky Lab selected the mail solution Exchange 2010 and the system of a corporate audio-and video conferencing of Lync 2010 for ensuring effective joint work of employees.
  • Increase in demand for technologies of a business intelligence. In Kaspersky Lab company the system of a business intelligence based on Microsoft SQL Server 2008 is implemented and also a number of portals based on SharePoint Server 2010 technology is created. Besides, for implementation of search on portals corporate solution of FAST will be implemented.
  • Quality improvement of management of data center. So, in Kaspersky Lab solutions for infrastructure management of Microsoft System Center are implemented.
  • Transition to cloud infrastructure. In Kaspersky Lab company the private cloud based on Windows Server 2008 R2 with a hypervisor of Hyper-V and management tools of Microsoft Systems Center is constructed.

Defense of perimeter of network is performed using Forefront TMG 2010. The plans for the near future are standardization of jobs based on an expanded packet of the licenses Enterprise Desktop (Windows 7, Office 2010, etc. includes) and also application of the popular platform for software development of the Visual Studio 2010 and Team Foundation Server 2010. Besides, TechNet Professionals subscription will be expanded.
