State Public Scientific Technical Library of Russia (ELARSKAN)

According to the results of open auction the Prosoft-PK company (ELAR corporation) delivered in Federal State Budgetary Institution State Public Scientific Technical Library of Russia (State Public Scientific Technical Library of Russia) the equipment for self-service of readers.

The State Public Scientific Technical Library of Russia is one of the world's largest centers for storage and formation of scientific and technical knowledge and information. Annually the library accepts more than 210 thousand readers and executes over 1 million their requests. The State Public Scientific Technical Library of Russia actively works on automation of all library processes. ELAR corporation installed the book terminal of ELARSKAN with the built-in RFID reader for process automation of self-service of visitors here.

The equipment of ELAR will be used in library for independent scanning by readers of books and any documents of a format to A3. The book terminal is made especially for work of the employee or the reader of library: it does not require any special preparation, and control of digitization is exercised from the touch screen. The electronic images received as a result of digitization can be saved as on a dedicated server, and directly on USB carriers of visitors. The reader of RFID tags will allow to identify users, to define and regulate their rights to access to functionality of the book terminal.
