GAI of the Dnipropetrovsk region continues upgrade of a control system of office transport

The Russian Navigation Technologies company equipped 90 cars of GAI of the Dnipropetrovsk region (Ukraine) with the GLONASS/GPS system of monitoring and control of Avtotreker transport.

Goal

Using the Avtotreker system the manager traces and controls movement of each car of GAI that guarantees work of patrols strictly according to route sheets. In case of road accident the manager sends to the scene the next to it the machine since he in real time sees where each of them is. Each car is also equipped with "the disturbing button" which in case of emergency situations, is clicked by the traffic inspector to cause the help.

Opinion

The commercial director of RNT company in Ukraine Ruslan Fedorenko noted: "The equipment which equips vehicle fleet processes previously the data obtained from the satellite and in summary form transfers information to the Avtotreker server. The data exchange method (GPRS, CSD or the SMS) is selected by a system automatically depending on availability and the cost of these services from this geographical point. A system itself controls delivery of data in both directions, it cuts down communication expenses and guarantees its smooth operation".

"The cost of the Avtotreker system is a little higher, than the solutions on monitoring proposed by the Ukrainian suppliers, but also more opportunities for control of work of traffic inspectors give — the senior engineer of the Dnipropetrovsk regional management of GAI Vladislav Portyanko told. – To a basic complete set of that system which is installed in other bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs it is necessary to buy in addition and install the additional hardware over time, and Avtotreker initially gives us wide functionality, opportunities for its building and also allows to scale a system on the bigger number of cars".
