ZW3D 2012

The ZWSOFT company, producer of means of automatic design, announced in January, 2012 availability to beta testing of the new version of product ZW3D 2012. The ZW3D system is intended for modeling of products on all process steps of production, since preparation of the sketch and finishing with production of products on CNC machines. The new version offers specialists a number of improvements in the most different areas intended for more comfortable and productive work, and the interactive interface will allow to achieve desirable result quicker.

Users of ZW3D 2012 should estimate the convenient and attractive configured ribbon-interface with a new context-dependent mini-panel and the context help. The integrated PARTSolutions library will provide quick access to detailed information on standard parts, and the mechanism of rendering Lightworks offered in the form of the separate module will allow to generate images of professional quality.

Thanks to the performed optimization, performance of operations on creation of sketches increased by 50%. For signatures in two-dimensional drawings TTF fonts with continuous filling for signatures can be used. The new Assembly Move command will accelerate and will simplify movement of elements of assembly. Additional resources of CNC processing of parts will also be at disposal of specialists. For example, new module 2X Turning Module will allow to manage operations on turning and milling processing of parts means of the single interface.

Separate mentioning is deserved by closer compatibility of ZW3D 2012 with other CAD systems. The program provides enhanced capabilities of export of models in own STEP and ACIS SAT formats, and the PDF Exporter component is improved due to adding new 3D - the mode. Images can remain in high resolution in different formats of bitmap graphics, and the import mechanism works three times quicker now, than earlier.
