Canon PIXMA MP250

August 24, 2009 – The Canon Company announced release of new model of the multifunction PIXMA printer intended first of all for students and beginning users.

Properties

• PIXMA MP250 offers permanently high quality of printing already familiar to users of Canon and copying in a basic equipment and at the affordable price.

• In the printer the FINE technology, best in the class (photolithographic production of ink snuffled) from Canon is used. And thanks to the volume of a drop 2 pl and to permission 4800 it is possible to receive photos of professional quality without granularity. Cartridges with pigmental black and blue, purple and yellow ink on the basis of dyes and the built-in printing heads are convenient in use and installation.

• The PIXMA MP250 model supports the Canon Quick Start technology which significantly reduced time necessary for transition to ready condition after inclusion. The new multi-function printer can also work in the mode of automatic scanning, automatically determining a format of the scanned document and contents type, and the self-opening output tray provides intuitive and simple printing.

• The Auto Photo Fix II function for automatic correction of images with insufficient exposure belongs to other opportunities doing work with the new multi-function printer idle time more than ever. The image is divided into several zones. Then for each zone using intellectual algorithms adjustment of contrast, brightness and color for achievement of the balanced result is executed.

• The additional software of Easy-WebPrint EX available to loading on the website www.canon-europe.com allows to select segments on the web page and to print them or to save on the PC. Thanks to Easy-WebPrint EX it is possible even to place several segments from different web pages on one sheet, saving paper and ink.

• The Canon company also of one of the first began to use the ISO/IEC 24734 and 4735 standards for measurement of speed of the printer, having given to users an opportunity to compare several printers on the basis of the commonly accepted standards.

• The PIXMA MP250 printer supports resolution to 4800 dots per inch and is equipped with technology of printing of FINE with a capacity of drop of 2 squares. The print speed of photos of a format 10 x 15 cm makes 56 seconds, 7 pics. / mines at monochrome printing and 4.8 pics. / mines at color print. Measurement of speed of the printer was executed according to the ISO/IEC 24734 and 24735 standards.

• The built-in PIXMA MP250 CIS scanner supports resolution to 600 dots per inch and is equipped with technology of double processing of a color gamma of Canon which provides reliable color performance of the scanned document and high definition of the text even at repeated copying.

Other characteristics: the 7-segment LCD display and Hi-Speed USB port for connection to the computer. The PIXMA MP250 printer is executed in opaque white color with black elements.

Additional information

The following software is included in the delivery:

• Canon MP Navigator EX – Software, delivered with the PIXMA multifunction devices and the CanoScan scanners and representing a standard user interface for input of images. Allows to scan documents and photos on the memory card or the PC and also to use images from the memory card or the PC. Among other opportunities – the mode of automatic scanning in which the original document format is defined (a photo, the magazine, etc.) and then happens scanning and preserving to optimal parameters. 15 languages and optical character recognition are supported.
• Canon Easy - PhotoPrint EX – the convenient software in use for printing of photos and such art materials as calendars and photo albums. Easy-PhotoPrint EX not only helps at type selection and the paper size, but also offers a new feature of automatic correction of photos of Auto Photo Fix which analyzes the photo and executes automatic correction taking into account portrait or landscape orientation. Auto Photo Fix II also allows to eliminate effect of "red eyes".
