"Forecast" will trace traffic safety

In November, 2012 Forecast completed the next stage of works on development of the Multiple parameter information and analytical system of modeling and forecasting of a situation in the field of security of traffic (MIAS). In a software package tools for operational collection of data on the road accidents are implemented. The developed mechanism allows to carry out systematization and consolidation of information and also to create statistics of accident rate on the Russian roads.

MIAS was created by Forecast for the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation within implementation of the Federal target program "Increase in Traffic Safety in 2006-2012. This software product is the main instrument of work of specialists of organizational analysis departments not only in the General Administration for Traffic Safety of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, but also in regional governments of the State traffic inspectorate.

MIAS allows to analyze concentration of road accident on federal highways and to reveal the most problem directions. Also among systems capabilities – report generation, containing detailed analysis of current situation, and references in the main directions of road and transport injury rate. Use of a system allows the police officers of Russia participating in traffic security process to make the reasoned decisions directed to decrease in level of accident rate on roads.

Victory in tender

The Prognoz company won a victory in tender of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation on development and deployment in divisions of traffic police of the automated management information systems. Works will be performed within implementation of the federal target program "Increase in Traffic Safety in 2006-2012".

Specialists of the company upgrade the system of forecasting and modeling of a situation in the field of security of traffic for the purpose of the organization of web access to its information resources. Also during the project in divisions of traffic police software tools for accounting of the persons which were injured in the road accidents will be implemented and the subsystem of information and analytical support of the management available including from the iPad tablet computers is developed.
