Severnoe Volokno LLC   -  ​ the partner of Zummer LLC. Since 2006 firms form group in which Zummer carries out installation and construction works on creation of the fiber-optic communication line, and Severnoe volokno provides communication services. The enterprises are integrated by the purposes, tasks, the development strategy and financing. The profit got from the installation and construction works which are carried out by Zummer company is invested in expansion, upgrade and reservation of networks of "Northern fiber". In group more than 200 people work.

Transit network of Severnoe volokno

The Severnoe volokno network begins from the point of exchange of Internet traffic of MSK-IX (MSK-IX), largest in Russia. From a reference node on MMTS-9 (M9) the network en route through Vladimir, Nizhny Novgorod, Ufa and Kazan reaches the territory of the Ural Federal District and, extending, covers Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk, Kurgan, Tyumen. To the north from the Tyumen region the network covers Surgut, Noyabrsk, Nizhnevartovsk, Nadym, Salekhard, Novy Urengoy and comes to an end on the bank of the Arctic Ocean, in the settlement of Yamburg behind the Polar circle. Own infrastructure passes on the East to Omsk, in the Tomsk region  - ​ to the city of Strezheva. On leased optics the network reaches Novosibirsk[1].

Completely redundant network with a total length of 9.7 thousand km and capacity of 200 Gbps is mounted on the DWDM equipment of the Israeli producer PacketLight and the American Cyan. Throughout more than 6 thousand km cables of network are suspended on the power transmission line, on other sections  - ​ are laid in soil.

In 2014 it is laid to the fiber-optic communication line on route Nadym  - ​ Salekhard in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Area (YNAA) more than 600 km long and signing of the contract on mutual reservation with the operator holding essential position in a public communication network of this region. Before Severnoe volokno laid the fiber-optic communication line with a total length of 1 thousand km on route Noyabrsk  - ​ Novy Urengoy  - ​ Nadym. Developing the built network, recently we completed "lighting" of optical fibers about 700 km long on section Nizhny Novgorod  - ​ Kirov on DWDM technology, with capacity of 200 Gbps.
