The solution Viridity EnergyCenter 2.0 - can effectively estimate quantity of the electric power consumed by the server and on the basis of data retrieveds to adjust the major, from the point of view of the company, function.
New opportunities considerably will expand limits of transparency and controllability with all links which are under supervision and also will promote more effective processing of data. Besides, at the disposal of administrators there will always be results on daily transactions from data centers.
The Viridity platform was published in July, 2011 and at once began to enjoy wide popularity thanks to high data processing rate and issue of the results allowing to judge quantity of the electric power used by each configuration separately at the small incremental levels.
The Schneider Electric purchased the solution Viridity EnergyCenter 2.0, a flagship product of the Viridity company specializing in the field of infrastructure management of data processing centers in 2012. This product represents the universal solution for assessment of inter-element couplings of engineering infrastructure, the IT equipment and applications installed on it.
Within this transaction Schneider Electric acquires the intellectual property rights and the software which is the cornerstone of the Viridity EnergyCenter 2.0 platform, but also, becomes the owner of the product providing automatic detection of IT assets for the purpose of optimization of utilization coefficient of the equipment. All listed technologies will be a part of a packet of StruxureWare for Data Center Operations intended for infrastructure management of data processing centers and the solution of the most complex problems of their operation, says Schneider Electric.
The complete packet offers opportunities of data collection, monitoring, automation and also planning and implementation of the functions providing the integrated and many-sided representation of all major systems of a data processing center. All users of this software — from upper managers to managers of DPCs and separate objects — obtain comprehensive information on daily work of DPC and full control over its work.
