The NetSuite company released own environment for creating applications of NetSuite Business Operating System (NS-BOS) offered developers "on demand" and intended for creation of industry vertical applications in any sectors of economy. For its development and promotion in the company the new vice president is appointed.
From NetSuite enter the NS-BOS environment: the "core" of Core Business Management Suite formed by the "horizontal" business applications implementing key features on accounting, customer relationship management and electronic business; SaaS infrastructure - the applications developed by the third-party companies including using already ready "core"; the technology platform of SuiteFlex allowing to configure and develop applications and to integrate business processes, using the SuiteScript programming language, means for integration of SuiteTalk and the tool for development of SuiteBuilder; the new tool - the debugger of SuiteScript D-Bug for testing of the created applications; SuiteBundler for integration and distribution of applications by the principle of "designer" when just it is necessary to select the interesting applications. All components are provided "on demand" and are based on web technologies and standards of JavaScript.
Thus, developers will have an opportunity of creation of proprietary customized or industry applications which are used by the ready and checked blocks for automation of key business functions, saving thereby time and funds for implementation of different unique opportunities, their integration and market promotion. According to Zac Nelson (Zach Nelson), the CEO of company NetSuite, NS-BOS it is designed to help third-party developers to transfer their business applications from a client-server model on model "on demand".
All components, except SuiteScript D-Bug, are already available to developers and clients, and the debugger of SuiteScript D-Bug is offered so far only to developers, including ISVs and VARs, and for the existing clients will extend gradually during the period from March to May free of charge. The price of the applications created using NS-BOS will be established by independent developers independently (some percent will be deducted by NetSuite).

Development of vertical solutions, programs of support of developers and further improvement of the NetSuite platform will belong to its duties.Michael Ni has more than 16-year experience on development and promotion of business applications. Before arrival to NetSuite he held a post of the vice president for development of products in Oracle corporation and was engaged in the products PeopleTools, JD Edwards Tools, participated in development of Fusion Architecture. Earlier he took the leading positions in developer companies of CRM and ERP systems, both in already known, and in "startups", including in PeopleSoft and OnePage and also worked as the consultant for marketing strategy in PricewaterhouseCoopers. Michael Ni has the diploma of MBA of Harvard University, the diploma of the master of Stanford University and the bachelor's degree of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
