OMK company, one of the largest Russian producers of products for the leading fuel and energy, transport and industrial companies, MOLGA Consulting company, the Russian consulting company in the field of personnel management, and SAP corporation, solution provider for business management, announced in February, 2012 project completion on process automation of management of selection and personnel development based on HCM SAP ERP in the Foundry and rolling complex of the company.


The project on implementation of functionality of SAP ERP of HCM "Management of Selection and Personnel Development" started in OMK in January, 2011 and covered several functional areas: selection and adaptation of personnel, management of qualifications of employees, management of personnel potential and personnel development, assessment and certification. As the pilot project site the Foundry and rolling complex (Nizhny Novgorod Region) and the Moscow office OMK where today in a system more than 100 users work were selected.

Increase in controllability and decrease in labor and time expenditure on personnel recruitment due to competent creation of interaction between HR specialists, heads of divisions and candidates will become a project deliverable of implementation of functionality of SAP ERP of HCM "Management of Selection and Personnel Development". Automation completely covered process from receipt of the request of the head of the structural unit for search of the candidate and until closing of a vacancy. Now heads of structural divisions and specialists in the field of personnel management will have online access to information demanded by him that will allow to control staff changes and to perform necessary precautionary actions for closing of these or those vacancies.

The solution allows to monitor existence, level and term of the expiration of qualification of employees, to create and approve their career plans, to plan necessary estimated and certification actions, development and training.

SAP ERP of HCM "Management of Selection and Personnel Development" will provide a necessary information access about personnel potential at all levels of management of OMK, will give an opportunity to identify candidates for a talent pool, to define high-potential employees, to select groups of talents and to plan their development or rotation.
