The Asteros company created infrastructure of the administrative building of the dispatching center SO UES in which the personnel of "Regional dispatching office of power supply system of the Volgograd region" will accommodate.
Task
The branch conducts continuous condition monitoring of all objects of power and the electric networks. Stability of power supply of inhabitants and the enterprises of area depends on its work. The obsolete equipment of RDU at any time could break activity. Therefore the company management decided to transfer RDU from rented rooms with the outdated systems to the new building equipped modern engineering and IT infrastructure.
According to the results of an open competition the Asteros company became the general contractor of the project. Under its management the area of the building selected under the new dispatching center was reconstructed and increased and also it is implemented more than 15 engineering and IT systems.
Solution
"Creation of new infrastructure of the dispatching center became the vital task. The old equipment and systems did not guarantee smooth operation of the center any more, and monitoring of power facilities could be under the threat. The constructed complex allows to control work of power supply system of area at the new level. Now the power grid economy entrusted to us will reliably function and develop", – Sergey Lomonosov, the director of the Volgograd RDU noted.
Key components of new infrastructure of SCS steel on the equipment SYSTIMAX, Cisco supporting 2500 copper and optical ports, a LAN based on solutions, the system of telephone communication with reservation of two automatic telephone exchanges, power supply systems, security, ventilation and conditioning.
Considerable reorganization was demanded by the system of telemechanics and communication. Between old and new buildings of the Volgograd RDU and also the telecommunication centers of two telecom operators the trunk SDH, an optical ring 40 km long was laid. Using the multiplexer equipment about 100 diverse communication channels from all power plants and substations of the Volgograd region are connected to the trunk. The new trunk provides high-quality information exchange between RDU and power facilities.

"In management of the Volgograd RDU there are strategic power generation facilities, including the largest hydroelectric power station in Europe – the Volga hydroelectric power station. It gave the special importance to the project. Carefully thought over systems and solutions had to become binding bricks of the uniform powerful and reliable IT base.
