Authorized Payment Foundation represents the flexible and safe application programming interface (API) which displays process of authorization for a framework of the cash solution and provides integration with processing systems of payments from ACI Worldwide and Servebase, reported in Oracle. The retail companies using possibilities of Authorized Payment Foundation receive the configured, expanded and quickly developed platform. It is necessary for the satisfaction of constantly changing requirements to payment authorization, supports payment devices and numerous gateways and also is capable to switch between service providers worldwide.

Besides, using the integrated means of biometrics from DigitalPersona company, world solution provider for authentication and protection of access, data and communications, the new version of Oracle Retail Point-of-Service facilitates observance of requirements of the standard of security of PCI, allowing operators to be registered and log in, using fingerprints. Biometric function allows to replace passwords or PIN codes with authentication on a fingerprint and to eliminate with that a possibility of unauthorized use by the employee of identification data or the magnetic card of the head for access to a cash system or commission of other unauthorized actions.

Oracle Retail Point-of-Service also includes now the visualized system of quick search allowing the cashier to add quickly the necessary goods items to the current check. Cashiers will not need to be verified with lists for scanning any more to find a goods barcode. According to developers, it will accelerate process of settlement and cash services or order placement.

The new version in addition optimizes settlement process at the checkout, providing closer integration with Oracle Retail Price Management that, in turn, allows to expand configurability of a system for support of marketing campaigns using threshold price values (like promotion actions like "purchase two things and receive a third free of charge").

Besides, Oracle Retail Point-of-Service allows managers of shops to browse cash reports at any time, without sending them to printing entirely. In the new version the user interface which allows to display, in particular, more accurately a system status is also improved, to display results on transactions and to select data entry fields.

The Oracle corporation provided in the fall of 2012 of Oracle Retail Mobile Point-of-Service — the mobile expansion for the Oracle Retail Point-of-Service (POS) system allowing the staff of shops to advise clients and to carry out the protected transactions using mobile devices in any point of shop. The solution gives to the retail companies an opportunity to better service clients and to increase efficiency of transactions.

"Mobile POS systems gain popularity at buyers and the retail companies as they accelerate and simplify control cash services, save from need to stand in a queue, cut down the expenses connected with increase in number of cash desks and allow personnel to communicate with clients in trading floors, but not to stand behind cash registers" — noted in corporation.
