Information system of monitoring, analysis and forecasting of social and economic development of regions

The Russian Government Office is engaged in ensuring activity of the Government of the Russian Federation and exercises control over the implementation of the decisions made by it by executive authorities.

The department of regional monitoring, structural division of Government Office of the Russian Federation, conducts monitoring of processes of social and economic development and a budget and financial status of territorial subjects of the Russian Federation.

Description

The system providing automation of the solution of a wide range of tasks of monitoring, the analysis and forecasting of social and economic development of territorial subjects of the Russian Federation was developed for Department of regional monitoring. Within a system the common information space integrating data of Federal State Statistics Service, Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation, Federal Tax Service, Ministry of Economic Development and Trade was created.

System operation is based on modern information technologies of data analysis and economic-mathematical methods of modeling.

• The information system includes the following components:
• The centralized data warehouse intended for accumulation and information storage about social and economic development of the Russian Federation and its regions (during the different periods);
• The subsystem of information exchange allowing to perform import of data from the set formats and different external sources in storage and also export of data to necessary formats;
• The subsystem of forecast and analytical calculations intended for monitoring and the analysis of the current situation, scenario and target forecasting of social and economic development depending on corrective actions;
• The visualization subsystem serving for data mapping in a tabular, graphic and cartographic style;
• The subsystem of administration and information security providing data protection from unauthorized access.

Results of development

System implementation allowed to provide specialists of the Russian Government Office with effective tools for complex monitoring, the analysis and forecasting of social and economic development of territorial subjects of the Russian Federation and considerably increased efficiency of the analytical work which is carried out by them.
