Rostelecom (DPC Kaliningrad)

On March 15, 2012 NVision Group constructed the first commercial Centre of Data Processing (CDP) in the territory of the Northwestern Federal District for JSC Rostelecom. In March, 2012 in Kaliningrad the opening ceremony of the Center was held.

The total area of new DPC - 150 sq.m, net output - 100 kW (up to 10 KW on a rack). For placement of the client equipment in a data processing center 20 server cabinets are set (42U). The structured cabling system of DPC is constructed according to international standards TIA/EIA-568B and TIA/EIA-942. As the active network and server hardware solutions of world leaders Juniper Networks, Hewlett Packard and others are applied.

Services of the Data processing center of the Kaliningrad branch of JSC "Rostelecom" are focused on large enterprises of the national level, the company of public sector, content providers, the organizations of medium and small business. Creation of modern commercial DPC in the Northwest of Russia became the next stage of development of network of own DPCs of Rostelecom.

The data processing center is the modern specialized technology platform intended for placement of server and telecommunication equipment and connection it to data transmission channels and to the Internet. In DPC all necessary engineering systems guaranteeing providing full range of services with high reliability, fault tolerance and performance are created: regular power supply, precision conditioning, gas fire extinguishing, structured cabling system, systems of physical security.

Dmitry Svetlov, the branch director "NVision — the Northwest" noted: "For branch it is the first experience of creation of complex DPC during cooperation with JSC Rostelecom. We implemented the project from beginning to end – from study of economy before commissioning. Jointly with specialists of the central office "NVision" we developed complex design of data center, estimated requirements of the operator for necessary power, performed delivery of the solution and its integration into communication systems, power supply, cooling and also carried out all complex of technical works on preparation of the platform for placement of the Data processing center. At the same time the economic component was as much as possible considered in the course of all works, on each of stages".

Project director ERTSOD of JSC Rostelecom - Alexander Martynyuk emphasized: "Development of infrastructure of DPC in the whole country and their filling by the innovation "cloud" services is an important component of development plans for JSC Rostelecom.
