• the new Web client allows to be connected and work with a system on the Internet;
• the new SharePoint-client helps to get Dynamics NAV data access 2013 from the SharePoint corporate portals;
• a system offers a number of improvements in work with the Microsoft SQL Server, supports Unicode, also in it the role interface with support of the Office 2010 panel appeared.

The first ERP system of Microsoft available from a public cloud

In the spring of 2012 Microsoft announced preparation of a set of different vertical solutions based on the Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 system unrolled on Windows Azure. Their development is performed by partners – independent developers – they and will propose to customers these specialized solutions.

The words of Kevin Turner, the operating officer of the company, about the beginning of "a new era for Dynamics product family" became the red thread passing through all Microsoft Convergence 2012 conference. According to the trend gaining popularity among software developers for business market of Microsoft she intends to adapt existing solutions for private, public and hybrid cloud environments.

Microsoft Dynamics Nav 2013 will become the first ERP system of corporation which will be provided according to the SaaS model from a public cloud. The managements and tools to deployment and delivery of Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 to Windows Azure should become available in June, 2013 then Microsoft partners will be able to use this cloud platform for providing new Enterprise resource planning to the customers in the lease mode. Similar functions of work as a part of a corporate cloud will be received also by the next version of the ERP system of Dynamics AX, speak in the company.

Availability in Russia

In May, 2013 Microsoft reported in the blog that the release of the Russian version of a product - based on based on release of Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 R2 - is expected at the end of the calendar year. By the time of the message about it the corporation released already 18 localized versions of a product for the different countries, including Norway, Switzerland and Iceland.

In a conversation with TAdviser representatives of the Russian office of corporation noted that between a release of the international and Russian versions of its ERP system traditionally there passes about a year. It in Microsoft is explained with the fact that localization of a product according to the Russian accounting, tax, financial and personnel features require considerable time and labor costs.

The company also notes that the international version of Dynamics Nav 2013 from the moment of its exit is available through partners and to the Russian customers. The subsequent licensing and transition to the Russian version of NAV 2013 RU from the international W1 will not involve any finance costs - it will be necessary to order again the license only.

The first implementation of Dynamics Nav 2013 in Russia it was announced in April, 2013: based on this system in the Russian divisions of the Austrian company Alpla which is engaged in production of plastic packaging the personal account was developed for clients. With its help the last can keep track of the status of the orders online.

2014: Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 R2

The Microsoft company submitted in February, 2014 the version of a system for resource management of the enterprise. Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 R2 is more, than just tracking of the ledger, i.e. administration management by business and personnel. The new version offers following features:

• possibility of deployment both in local infrastructure, and in a private cloud of Windows Azure: today the companies can unroll the ERP system not only on local infrastructure, but also in a cloud that allows to reduce costs at the initial stage of implementing solution;
• intuitive interface: complete transition to "the role interface" raises ergonomics of the solution and saves daily till 3 o'clock time for the user. The graphical interface and work from the browser are available to work at office or from the mobile device. At the same time the mobility of a system remains: access from any place in the world and from any device, thanks to connection to full versions of Microsoft Web services and integration with Office is possible;
• the optimized licensing: all key innovations in NAV 2013 R2 are directed to further democratization of advanced technologies of management for the companies of any size and a type of activity. So, the following options are available to customers: starting packet, extension package, and two types of users.

Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 R2 is available to the Russian customers on special conditions. For new clients the starting packet is delivered at preferential price with two additional users as a gift. It is also possible to purchase an extension package from 50% a discount. The acting customers receive the new version free of charge.
