The T-Platforms company completed the project of creation of the high-performance computer system by request of the Moscow State Construction University (MSCU).
Solution
Start of a high-performance cluster T-Platforms will allow the university to bring research to qualitatively new level, on own experience having estimated efficiency of the latest supercomputer technologies in the construction sector.
The MGSU computer system includes computing nodes based on traditional processors with architecture of x86/64 and also computing nodes based on graphic NVIDIA TESLA S2050 accelerators. Application of interconnect of QDR Infiniband allowed to reach the maximum speed of interprocessor exchange. Computing nodes, fans of air cooling and power supplies provide a possibility of hot swap that allows to minimize a downtime of a system in case of failure of its any component.
For storage of big arrays of the processed information in structure of a complex it was included storage systems of T-Store ActiveStore and T-Store™ NAS. These systems are developed by T-Platforms company based on Panasas and Netapp technologies, and recommended, including, for application as a part of supercomputers scientific and research establishments. The managing network built based on not blocked Force 10 S50 switch provides continuous to switching between all nodes of the calculator and office servers under the TCP/IP protocol.
The T-Platforms company executed the project completely "on a turn-key basis", including creation of the infrastructure complex ensuring smooth round-the-clock operation of the supercomputer and also the system of the automatic notification and shutdown of a cluster.
