PIER – transformers of the serial interfaces RS-232/485 and CAN in Ethernet

Product
Developers: Computer Technologies, SPC
Branches: Telecommunication and communication,  Power

The PIER is a line of the transformers intended for connection of the devices having the serial interface RS-485, RS-232 or CAN to an Ethernet network (TCP/IP). Respectively, modifications are issued: PIRS-232, PIRS-485, PIRS-CAN.

Performing functions of the converter of interfaces, PIRS allows to perform bilateral data exchange and transfer of commands through an Ethernet network (TCP/IP) with the devices having port with this or that serial interface.

The PIER is the "transparent" network device and allows to organize remote COM port through an Ethernet network (TCP/IP). Thus, with its help it is possible to create remote connection to such devices as the uninterruptible power supply units (UPSU), measuring transducers, electric power counters, the security equipment and photo recorders, industrial controllers, terminals, computers and other intelligent devices. Remote connection of all types of interface equipment through an Ethernet network.

Advantages of transformers PIERS

  • the facilitated construct and small dimensions that allows to do in most cases without difficult electronic edits and to place the device or in niches for laying of cables (cable channels), or in the body of the connected equipment, or in free (trailing/lying) provision;
  • record-breaking low cost of the device – only 1990 rub excluding VAT that is approximately three times lower than the next Russian analog and is twice lower than analogs from Southeast Asia

Ample opportunities and features of PIRS

  • a power supply of the device from network ~ 220B via the power supply ~ 220B / = 5B (it is delivered separately)
  • The WEB INTERFACE, remote setup through web browser and remote "firmware"
  • "end-to-end (transparent) channel" RS-232/485/CAN for data transmission from the intelligent equipment in the third-party software
  • Network connection of Ethernet (TCP/IP) does the device with the serial interface Internet ready
  • Support of 10 Mbps and 100 Mbps Ethernet
  • 15 KV ESD protection of all signals
  • Support of SNMP MIB-ll for network control of the equipment
  • A possibility of automatic search of devices in network
