"The Arctic sea engineering-geological expeditions" completed an implementation project of a security system and control of a MRO of courts

The Spectec enterprise started execution of works on an implementation project of the information management system security, maintenance and ship repairs of JSC Arkticheskiye morskiye inzhenerno-geologicheskiye ekspeditsii.

Background

According to requirements of operation of courts in the international waters, JSC AMIGE started creation of the safety management system (SMS) certified by the Russian maritime register of shipping on compliance of MKUB. The Document of compliance to the Code and the Certificate on security management on vessels is received. At the same time by SMS it was implemented on paper carriers, and the first three years easily was controlled. In process of accumulation of a large number of documents in office and in courts, support of relevance of SMS became complicated. The labor input of service increased, a system became bulky in management. Process management of maintenance and repair as one of requirements of MKUB, also required optimization.

In this regard the management of JSC AMIGE initiated in the spring of 2012 the project on creation of the information management system security, maintenance and repairs (MRO) of courts. To perform work the customer attracted NPP Spectec company.

Plans and solutions

A system is implemented on the platform of the software package TRIM. The functionality of TRIM covers security management, management processes of a MRO, logistics under a MRO, inventory management.

The project started in March, 2012 with diagnostic inspection of the company of the customer. Now results of diagnostics are processed, and, on this basis, development of the project documentation on a safety management system and a MRO is conducted. Including, documents and the SUB procedures are optimized.

The project provided rendering by the contractor consulting services in MRO process optimization, execution of works on filling of the database, development of regulations of operation of a system, configuring of the software, user training, a commissioning.

The created information management system security, maintenance and ship repairs automates management processes at office and three courts of the company. Licenses for 12 users of TRIM, including 3 users in department of the fleet (office) and on 3 – in courts will be delivered to the customer. A system will work with the distributed database including the database of central node (office) and local databases on each vessel.

Specialists of NPP Spectec, with participation of the working group of the customer, performed all complex of project works. First of all, developed the project documentation, with the description of future processes and their implementation by means of TRIM. Automated document flow of SUB and management of the regulated procedures of security. Directories and reference books of TRIM filled with data on courts, a shipboard equipment, spare parts and materials for a MRO, on the performed works of a MRO, the staff list and other information. Installed the exercise machine of an information system at the customer, developed regulations of its operation and the instruction to users, provided user training of office of the company and members of crews. The information system covered all cycle of activity of the company connected with security and a MRO – from planning, ensuring works, before their accomplishment, the analysis of results and the adjusting solutions of the management.

The integrated system was put in operation in October, 2012. However, in May result of the first stage of works – SUB automated by means of TRIM was shown to experts of the Russian maritime register of shipping during audit based on which compliance of SUB to requirements of the international code of ISM Code was confirmed. Automation allowed to show to auditors operating condition of SUB, effective management of documents and an opportunity to analyze effectiveness of the SUB procedures. The potential customer of JSC AMIGE – one of the largest oil and gas extraction companies of the world, was also satisfied with system operation.
