Naftogaz Ukrainy implemented a budgeting system and control of financial resources of SAP ERP and SAP BPC

On April 3, 2012 the National joint stock company "Naftogaz Ukrainy" announced project completion on implementation of an end-to-end automated system of budgeting and control of financial resources based on solutions SAP ERP and SAP BPC. Such system allows to increase considerably planning accuracy at all levels of national monopoly and also to reduce cycles of accomplishment of financial transactions and expenses connected with it.

The head of department of information resources and technologies of NAK Naftogaz Ukrainy, Lyashenko Alexander noted: "It is difficult to revaluate importance of implementation of a similar system in NAK Naftogaz Ukrainy. The special attention is deserved by the fact that the first we implemented a budgeting system and control of financial flows. Thanks to this project we could solve the major problem for the company – to provide transparency and efficiency of financial transactions, processes of formation of budgets, control of purchases and expenses. It is sure everything understand as far as it is important for NAK Naftogaz Ukrainy

The start of operation of this system became one of the first stages of creation of the unified information environment covering more than 400 business processes in NAK Naftogaz Ukrainy.

The choice of SAP solutions is caused by existence of industry expertize and also the leading positions of the company in the world by the number of successful implementations in fuel and energy complex.

At the same time, the NAK Naftogaz Ukrainy has unique specifics in the field of financial planning and control as operational monitoring of expenditure of means at all levels of the company is necessary for such branched structure. Thanks to harmonious work of a joint command of NAK Naftogaz Ukrainy, SAP and CONIM GROUP, it was succeeded to implement successfully difficult model of processes of financial planning and control in the system of SAP.

It is important to note that this project is the first implementing solutions of SAP in the state monopoly of Ukraine of similar value. Our experience demonstrates that for such large-scale structures the maximum effect of implementation of solutions for management is reached by creation of the single end-to-end system covering all business processes of the company", - the director of SAP Ukraine, Matyash Maxim notes.

The project is implemented in cooperation with CONIM GROUP company which has the status of the Golden partner of SAP in Ukraine.

Within the project the following tasks were implemented:

• processes of financial planning and budgeting according to the existing administrative documents are automated (formation of the annual budget plan, financial plan for a month, plans in natural and monetary indicators, etc.);
• the approval process of memos on payment with creation of the register of payments and formation of payment documents on their accomplishment is automated;
• the uniform circuit of planning of the company, with a possibility of loading of plans of the enterprises and reports on their accomplishment is created;
• the possibility of obtaining operational information about the course of accomplishment of the approved plans with further variance analysis from the plan is implemented;
• protection of accounting management information against unauthorized access is provided;
• formation of the necessary financial and management reporting is implemented.

In dalneyny NAK Naftogaz Ukrainy and CONIM GROUP companies plan development of the project and implementation of the new systems.
