Schools of the Ussuriysk district of Primorsky Krai (Cisco TelePresence)

Specialists of LANITH DV company completed in the spring of 2012 a pilot project of system implementation of remote education in small schools. The Ussuriysk district of Primorsky Krai where there are five small schools at once became the pioneer.

Two main problems of small schools: remoteness from larger educational institutions and the shortage of the pedagogical personnel. It is possible to solve both problems if to implement and take distance learning for practice. At the modern developed system of Internet communication, informatization and computerization such form of education is quite possible. And irrespective of where there is a pupil, it is not enough or a lot of studying at school.

Such system assumes also existence of basic school with the recruited teaching staff in all objects. In this case as basic school No. 32 of the city of Ussuriysk was selected. Exactly from here remote teaching different disciplines for five small schools located in villages Red Yar, Kamenushka, Korfovka, Alexey-Nikolsk and Rakovka of the Ussuriysk district is conducted at once.

Mushatenko Andrey, technical director of LANITH DV Ltd: "The system of remote education is rather simple in use. In specially equipped class there is an interactive board which not only fixes all records of the teacher and transfers them to the screen in the class deleted on several kilometers, but also has some functions of the computer. The system of a video conferencing which using a projector, the screen, a sound hardware and high-speed Internet connection creates effect of presence allows to compensate absence of the teacher in a class. Real-life communication and visual contact remain an integral part of pedagogical process. For technical implementation of this project the LANITH DV company deployed the modern certified equipment of such producers as Cisco, Smart, Panasonic. Communication between schools is performed on a bilateral satellite channel, through the Moscow control center".

For the purpose of ensuring effect of personal contact of teachers and school students specialists LANITH DV deployed in basic and remote educational institutions solutions for rapid implementation of video conference of Cisco TelePresence Quick Set of C20. Installed systems provide excellent quality of HD video conference with permission 1080p and a twelvefold zoom that is characteristics for the big systems differing in simplicity of implementation, operation and management. For the organization at schools of the stable communication so necessary for implementation of all project, Cisco 2921 routers and the Catalyst 2960 switches were used.

This project, certainly, has extensive perspectives of development. In addition to a geographical coverage of all persons in need in the similar system of areas, within the Electronic School project there is an opportunity to provide to pupils access to the module "Remote Education". The project is provided by a set of such necessary services as a videoshop (or material did not understand records of lessons which the pupil addresses if he passed), electronic educational resources (textbooks and encyclopedias which will save from need to go to library). And also a feedback system using devices of remote control of knowledge (when pupils are able to perform the teacher's tasks independently, and results will be automatically transferred for check).
