Northern GOK (SAP for Mining)

The Ukrainian enterprises "Northern Mining and Processing Works" and "Central Mining and Processing Works" completed the first stage of system implementation of management based on the industrial solution for SAP for Mining mining companies and put a system into commercial operation.

Within the project starting on September 1, 2005 the functional directions "Management of Finance", "Management Accounting — Controlling", "Management of Material Flows", "Sales management", "Production management" and the first phase "Personnel managements" were implemented.

As a result the main business processes of plants were integrated and unified taking into account use of world experience of management of the enterprises of the mining industry. The solutions which provided optimization of production, financial and logistic processes were implemented, operational obtaining reliable information about activity of the enterprises in general is adjusted and their separate divisions, daily cost management, management of specific regulations is adjusted.

The project was performed by leading specialists of SEVGOKA and TSGOKA in the different directions, with assistance of SAP company and certified partners of developer company. The project team of Northern and Central GOKA received the certificate of Competence Center of SAP which grants to the specialists entering it the right independently to render implementation services and to maintenance of a system of SAP at other enterprises of the Metinvest Group.

The second stage of the project including implementation of functionality "Management of maintenance and repairs of the equipment", Project management, Quality management, Business information warehouse and the second phase "Personnel managements" is at the moment begun.
