Project Description:

The Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC) is executive body of 12 states of the former USSR (Commonwealth of Independent States) on the functions and powers delegated by the states in the field of civil aviation and use of airspace. It is founded on the basis of the intergovernmental "Agreement on civil aviation and on use of airspace" signed on December 30, 1991. Is engaged in certification of aircrafts, airfields and airlines. Aviaregistr MACK (ARE of IAC) conducts. Is engaged in investigations of incidents on air transport.

Due to the big demand of documents in work, the management of committee in 2011 the decision on the organization of an electronic document file for providing online access of specialists of committee to the necessary documents is made.

The archive represents embroidered and sewed (with a possibility of lacing) documentation about 1.000.000 sheets A4 (A4+), from them about 10% drawings of A3-A1 formats, not format. Paper of different quality, a status of most of them good, 40% shabby, also available and the new documentation (which is not opened, a polietilirovana).

All documents are in the folders fastened with screws, springs or are strung together, fastened srepky, a bracket, broshyurovana, existence of fax printing, the slabochitayemy text (5%). The photos pasted on the file, in color and a black-and-white photo came across.

Scanning was made in the JPEG format with the resolution of 300 dpi in the "grey gradations" mode. For old, dirty documents scanning was carried out with the resolution of 600 dpi in the "grey gradations" mode. Then electronic images of documents underwent processing, assembly and indexation. By the end result obtaining PDF — documents was required.
