The unfriendly interface, lack of important functional units of an old personnel management system based on ERP BAAN IV forced to pass Lanit group to the SAP HCM platform.
The Lanit group replaced own system of personnel records: instead of obsolete ERP Baan IV now the group will use a system on the HCM SAP ERP platform. Representatives of the company told about this TAdviser.
Prerequisites of the Project
In a personnel system Lanita account on all enterprises of group with the general state more than 5 thousand is kept human. The main lack of ERP BAAN IV was the fact that a system allowed to implement the main accounting objectives, but did not contain tools for planning of training and employee development and also personel assessment.
Choice of the platform
Lanit does not open what other platforms for a new HRM system were considered by group. As for the choice of SAP ERP of HCM, played such criteria as flexibility, a possibility of considerable modification of basic processes of accounting and also existence of subsystems of development and workforce planning its advantage.
Project Progress
In 2010 system architecture was designed, setup and customization is carried out it, starting data from a system predecessor are imported and also the training trainings for users are provided. Besides, integration of SAP HCM and system of accounting of 1C was provided.
Implementation took 9 months, and for launch in commercial operation a system was used in 14 workplaces – in personnel departments and accounting of divisions of group, at the moment in a system 24 users work. Implementation was completely implemented by own task force Lanita.
In 2011 a system was transferred to the protected circuit which is based on a cloud service. This transition considerably increased reliability of functioning of a system, speak in Lanita and also allowed to protect personal data of workers according to the Federal Law "About Personal Data".
Project Results
By 2012 considerable experience on support of the SAP solution HCM is accumulated. In two years of work in the productive mode users estimated the friendly interface, integration into office applications, convenient tools for reporting – all that the previous system, said in the official statement Lanita was deprived.
A significant amount of reports which formation required participation of programmers earlier gathers users independently now. Support of a system is performed by representatives of SAP CIS therefore on IT specialists of Lanit smaller loading lays down much, than before, also noted in the company.
