NovaBACKUP 13

The NovaStor company released in the spring of 2012 the new version of the flagship product – NovaBACKUP 13, powerful and simple tool kit in use for backup and data recovery. To the users familiar with the previous versions of a product, it is necessary to estimate a set of innovations and changes which will simplify process of disaster recovery of systems and crucial information after serious failure.

During creation of the backup copy, for example, users will be able to ensure a one click of the button safety of the system section entirely, the selected objects or, for example, only files of the specified type (documents, images, audiomaterials, e-mails, etc.). Thanks to support incremental and differential backup the procedure will not take too much time, the program will save only those files which were modified from the moment of creation of the last copy. Afterwards the application will allow to recover the backup copy entirely or to take separate files and folders from the created image. The intuitive interface of a product will extremely simplify these tasks. Separate mentioning is deserved by the built-in task scheduler who will allow to reduce load of IT personnel considerably. NovaBACKUP will be able to execute backup according to the schedule, according to the made schedule (for example, at night, during idle time of the computer).

The special environment of loading based on the Windows PE operating system which remains on the portable carrier (the disks CD/DVD or normal "flash cards") is included in the delivery. This most useful function will allow to recover operability of the computer when correct loading of OS is not represented possible, for example, as a result of failure of the equipment or the hacker attack. Now users will be able to recover a system from an available image on other personal computer from other than initial a hardware configuration.

The copy created by the user can be saved on the local computer or is transferred on network to remote storage. In the latter case three options – the FTP server, "cloud" storage Amazon S3 or own online service of storage of NovaBACKUP are offered to clients at choice. The last of the mentioned solutions well for the mezzanine board, however users will be able to estimate a broad spectrum of the interesting additional services, such as end-to-end data encryption transferred on networks, effective management of backup copies and the optimized capacity consumption.

NovaBACKUP can be used for backup and recovery of the ciphered hard drives. Developers from NovaStor also mention the advanced interface of a product, the modified task scheduling mechanisms, expanded support of network attached storages (NAS) and other interesting changes.
