Suvorov Venedikt Cartovich

Venedikt Suvorov was born on November 5, 1955.

Education

In 1978 he graduated from the Mari Polytechnic Institute with a degree in Design and Production of REA, after graduating from the institute he served in the Soviet Army.

Career

1980-1993

In the period from 1980 to 1993 he worked in engineering positions in the Experimental Design Bureau of Control and Automation Devices of the Main Directorate of Microbioprom under the Council of Ministers of the USSR.

Since 1993, he worked in senior positions of technical services of OJSC Martelkom (since 2002, a branch in the Republic of Mari El of OJSC VolgaTelecom).

2021: Head of the Department of Informatization and Communications of the Republic of Mari El

On January 1, 2011, he was appointed head of the Department of Informatization and Communications of the Republic of Mari EE. He became the person responsible for informatization of the region.

2022: Appointment as head of the Ministry of Digital Science Mari El

At the end of December 2022, the head of Mari El, Yury Zaytsev, signed a decree appointing Venedikt Suvorov as Minister of Digital Development of the region. Prior to that, he headed the department of informatization and communications of the republic.

Earlier in 2022, Yury Zaytsev signed a decree according to which the Department of Informatization and Communications of Mari El would be transformed into the Ministry of Digital Development of the republic. The staff of the new authority is 27 people.^[1]

The appointment of the head of the Ministry of Digital Science Mari El became known against the background of a digital transformation program in the republic. Within the framework of it, the following domestic IT solutions are implemented (indicated in the program approved by the government of the republic):

• Artificial intelligence, including intelligent decision support systems;

According to the information on the income of officials officially published on the website of the regional government, in 2013 the income of Suvorov Venedikt Cartovich amounted to 840 thousand rubles, his wife - 136 thousand rubles. The official owns a land plot with an area of ​ ​ 4000 sq.m., a house of 40.0 sq.m., a VAZ 2170 car, together with his wife owns an apartment with an area of ​ ​ 41.4 sq.m.
