State biological museum of K.A. Timiryazev (ELAR PowerScan)

ELAR corporation announces completion of works on digitization of pictures of the State biological museum of K.A. Timiryazev. In a month in one of showrooms of the museum the staff of ELAR transferred to an electronic form of 96 pictures. The staff of the museum is going to post images of the scanned works of painting on the website.

Digitization is executed on the Pauerskan ELAR scanner 2A0. The equipment performs high-quality scanning of pictures of 1800х1200 mm in size with the permission 300dpi on the maximum format. The mode of macro-scanning allows to digitize specific fragments of originals with the permission more 1000dpi. In the scanner regime of a special asymmetrical sinkhropodsvetka for manifestation of a relief of works of painting and display of all nuances of a picture is implemented. The contactless method of scanning excludes risk of damage of originals and guarantees their safety.

ELAR cooperates with the State biological museum of K.A. Timiryazev since 2008. Within the previous projects scanning and retroconversion of 17 accounting books is executed and also 1000 engravings are digitized.
