Content

The Nvision Group company completed the project of development, delivery and start of a system of distance learning and telemedicine for Scientific clinical center of JSC Russian Railways (NKTs Russian Railway).

Start

Creation of the uniform center of telemedicine is necessary for carrying out operational remote consultations, seminars, meetings and lectures with the best experts in health care. Besides, it reduces costs for business trips of staff of NKTs.

Solution

Engineers of NVision Group implemented integrated solution and constructed necessary infrastructure for its successful functioning. As a result of NKTs Russian Railway received the powerful hardware and software system integrating the basic systems of an audio-and video conferencing (VIDEOCONFERENCING), power supply, data transmissions, computing infrastructure of data center (DPC) and SCS.

The uniqueness of the project is caused by a large number and a variety of the involved products from Microsoft, IBM, Symantec, HP, Panasonic, Sony, Pioneer, Hitachi, TrippLite, JBL, YAMAHA and other partners.

Technical details

Within the project the Nvision Group company prepared several premises for holding communication sessions:

  • The conference room is equipped with a projector using DLP technology, the plasma TV duplicating a video information for presidium and two LCD monitors for the translator and the operator of the hall. Thanks to a management system it is possible to use the premises according to different scenarios, practically saving employees from accomplishment of non-core tasks. Start and control of implementation of scenarios are performed by means of the touchpad in a cabin of the operator. The used management system is scalable – further it can be added with functions of control of artificial lighting, climate, etc.

  • Three educational audiences of the center are executed on typical circuit which allows to use the equipment as locally, and in the VKS mode.

  • The new hall of the academic council with expanded use of wireless technologies for transfer of the interface signals from a table of meetings.

  • The hall of telemedicine consultations for rendering remote medical care using means of VKS.

For connection to the telemedicine center of the premises which are not equipped with the VIDEOCONFERENCING regular system (for example, for radiology offices), the mobile equipment including a rack with the display, the camera, the notebook and the radiomicrophone is developed. This complex allows to carry out online broadcasts of diagnostic procedures for regions.
