MRO of Murmansk Trawler Fleet

The Scientific Production Enterprise" Spectec" begins a project work of implementation of the information management system with maintenance and repairs (MRO) of courts in branches of JSC" Murmansk Trawler Fleet" – closed joint stock company" MTF-1", closed joint stock company" MTF-2", closed joint stock company" MTF-3", closed joint stock company" MTF-4".

Unit of the fleet of joint stock company" MTF" it not only the vessel, it also floating factory at which processing of a catch – a frost, development of fish meal, production of canned food, storage of products is performed. Operation of such difficult object is followed by risks of hardware failures and untimely delivery of spare parts, idle times because of technical unavailability of courts and loss of trade time, growth of costs for a MRO. In this regard joint stock company" MTF" performs permanent monitoring of risks, and takes the preventive and remedial measures directed to decrease in their influence. Implementation in branches of JSC" Murmansk Trawler Fleet" of the information management system of a MRO which should provide transparency of processes of technical operation and controllability of the costs connected by service and logistics of the fleet became one of such measures.

As a software platform on which this project will be implemented, EAM/MRO system of TRIM is accepted. The company of Scientific Production Enterprise" Spectec" (www.trim.ru) – TRIM developer, the professional advisor in the field of systems and methods of management of fixed assets and processes of a MRO became the contractor on the project. Earlier, in 2000, specialists of Scientific Production Enterprise" Spectec" for joint stock company" Murmansk Trawler Fleet" already developed and implemented the information management system by safety of operation of courts and prevention of pollution based on TRIM. The fact that" Spectec" and the TRIM system were already known to the customer played a crucial role when choosing the contractor and a software platform. Besides, successfully implemented projects in shipping companies, such as federal state unitary enterprise" Atomflot", joint stock company" Yenisei River Steamship Lines", joint stock company" Irtysh shipping company", joint stock company" Shipping company" Volga Steam Navigation", joint stock company" Volgograd river port" became a factor for benefit of such choice.

According to the signed agreement, the Scientific Production Enterprise" Spectec" will perform all complex of works on implementation of the information management system of a MRO" on a turn-key basis". Including – will conduct diagnostic examination directly in courts and at office of the company, will develop the project documentation, will fill with information the database of a system and directories of the capital shipboard equipment for the stated courts. Will train administrators of TRIM, instructors of an educational class and users, will carry out adaptation and completion of an analytical subsystem of TRIM, will perform balancing and commissioning on software installation of TRIM, input of starting data, carrying out comprehensive tests, input of a system in operation.

Jobs of the MRO system will appear at office of the company (5 users) and in 8 courts (on 6 users on each vessel). Characteristic of business of the fishing company is the high autonomy of courts, long finding of courts out of the port of registry. It causes features of the forthcoming project. First, directly in courts there has to be an opportunity to execute in information system MRO such transactions as the choice of suppliers of Inventories under repair and service, conducting document flow with suppliers, purchase of Inventories, order placement on repair of the vessel on foreign shipyards, acceptance of works. Secondly, balancing and commissioning should be performed on each vessel regardless of where it is.
