The hybrid sensor PS2 is intended for control of presence of tension in network of power supply and for strain measurement on the accumulator. The sensor has a network cord with a fork for connection to network 220B and a wire with alligator clips for connection to accumulator terminals. The sensor can be used only together with Equicom PING3 devices (-knock) and PING2 (-knock)   to which it is connected by means of the EXT connector.

Pay attention! The PS2 sensor is not compatible to normal PING2 devices (-knock) at which the input of ATsP is not connected to contact of the 5th EXT connector. This completion is implemented in modification of PING2.1 (knock), the corresponding marking is present only at a serial-numbered sticker on a bottom side of the body. The sensor turns on in network to equipment uninterruptible power supply unit. In the presence of tension in network the sensor imitates short circuit of an input of "Power sensor" of the Equicom PING3 device (-knock) on the earth, thereby creating on it level logical 0 (this input has the tightening resistor creating on it level logical 1). For the correct display of the fact of presence of tension in network it is necessary for an input of "Power sensor" to set negative polarity of an input signal. Alligator clips need to be connected to accumulator terminals, observing polarity (a red clip - "+"). In the sensor there is a calibrated voltage divider which moves on an analog input of the AN3 Equicom PING3 device (-knock) (the digital line of DG5 combined with this input shall be programmed on input!) For obtaining value of tension on the accumulator in volts in settings of an input of AN3 it is necessary to set such coefficients:

Offset=0

Multiplier=15.2 (for rated voltage on accumulator 12B)

Averaging=20 (or it is more)

It is necessary to make calibration of a specific copy of the sensor together with a specific copy of the PING3 device by the technique described in documentation to the PING3 device for obtaining the maximum measuring accuracy (the section "Measurement of inherent stress of a power supply of the device", method 1).

Attention! The strain measurement input on the accumulator is connected galvanic with the analogvy output of the sensor, and minus the alligator clip will be connected to the general wire of the PING3 device at connection of the sensor to it. It needs to be considered and to control attentively that there was no short circuit on a chain the general wire of PING3 - the minus accumulator terminal when these points have different potentials. In this case the PING3 device should be powered from BP which is galvanic untied with the minus accumulator terminal. Non-compliance with this requirement can put the equipment out of action, or lead to its misoperation!

Modifications of sensors

PS2 sensors can be issued in the different modifications expected the rated voltage of accumulator 12B, 24B and 48B.
