Safety Jabber 2.2

The SJ Developer Software Group Limited company announced in May, 2012 a release of the new version of the Safety Jabber 2.2 program - the jabber-client with the integrated enciphering. Upgraded version allows to cipher not only the transferred messages, but also the history of correspondence, files; and also the company offers users the new protection program of personal information - "Safe Screen Saver".

The question of security of private messages and the transferred files from public eyes concerns users since in the market different messengers - programs for instant messaging and files firmly became stronger. However even the most popular of them do not guarantee complete confidentiality of information transferred in messages for the private or business purposes. The Jabber-client of Safety Jabber 2.2 represents multifunction crypto - the messenger which will allow to protect personal correspondence reliably.

Safety Jabber has various cryptographic potential for data protection which allows users to cipher the messages transferred by them, the history of correspondence and the transferred files. Users write the messages normally, but at the same time can be sure that they are reliably ciphered, and further it will be provided to nobody possible to decode the transferred messages. Operation of application is carried out on the basis of an encryption system of PGP which works with different libraries: in Windows it is OpenPGP, and for Mac the GPGTools library is used. In this cryptosystem two keys - open for enciphering and closed for interpretation of data are used. Users at transmission of messages exchange these keys and also have an opportunity during creation of a key independently to set its length and to completely control process of enciphering of messages.

File transfer in the program is implemented through an independent source of www.sendspace.com and the server of www.safetyjabber.com company in archive with the password from 32 characters that provides, according to developers, the highest reliability of the transmitted data.

At acquisition of the paid version of Safety Jabber users receive the program of blocking of the Safe Screen Saver computer in addition. This program represents an additional method of data protection when the user needs to depart from the computer and to stop any infringement of information in it. It is previously necessary to set a certain hot key when clicking which the screen becomes black, the computer is completely blocked.

The program is rather simple in installation and use. Safety Jabber is compatible to all popular jabber-clients supporting an encryption system of PGP. The free application version contains basic feature set. The paid version contains functions of enciphering of history of the transferred messages and the program of blocking of the computer which goes to the application.

The program is compatible to Windows OS and Mac OS.
