The portal SAP solution Enterprise Portal for purchase management to "your House"

On May 11, 2012 the Network of the Shopping Complexes "Your House" (Crocus Group) announced project completion on the implementing solution SAP Enterprise Portal for purchase management. The project was executed together with consulting company CIBER.

"We constantly extend, aim to make our retail network for each buyer unique in terms of a variety and the choice of goods. The range of our company makes over 300 thousand names of goods, and, naturally, all these goods to us are delivered not by one supplier. For operational work with each supplier, for fast interaction of staff of different divisions we decided to pick up the information product capable to satisfy to our requirements. The main thing, we wanted to simplify the mechanism of vendor interaction and to reduce quantity of errors. The main objective was to pass to electronic approval of protocols of the prices and order confirmation. We stopped the choice on SAP Portal. This solution did not require any changes in information technology field. We just added new services to a basic ERP system", ̶ Yury Zhikov, the deputy CEO for information and technical support, audits, basic data and the prices of STK "Your House" comments.

Earlier process of approval of orders of suppliers in STK "Your House" was inconvenient and took too much time. All interactions between the staff of the company and suppliers were performed by e-mail and phone and also there was a need to carry out reconciliation of the printed and negotiation documents with the electronic version for loading to SAP ERP. Such process of the organization of orders was rather labor-consuming, respectively, there was a serious risk of errors on each its step. For ensuring fast interaction of staff of purchasing department and suppliers STK "Your House" needed the reliable software product.

For process optimization of purchases the SAP solution Enterprise Portal which represents the powerful tool for creation of the client menu was selected. The interface of the customer can be expanded standard cures, without additional developments. SAP Enterprise Portal has also such advantages as easy scaling and simplicity of implementation. If necessary, it is possible to add new services without essential time and labor costs to a system.

A choice of the partner in automation was made for benefit of CIBER thanks to maintaining the SAP projects in STK "Your House" and also in such large enterprises of retail as Euroset, "TAPE", Eldorado, Victoria Group and others.

The implementing solution SAP Enterprise Portal included conceptual design and implementation. At the first stage lasting from August 1 to September 15, 2011 necessary STK "Your House" functionality was approved. The second stage (on September 15 - on November 30, 2011) was devoted to installation and setup of the solution.

As the SAP solution Enterprise Portal for STK "Your House" formation of orders, approval of goods prices and calculation of penalties entered.

In a project deliverable it was succeeded to simplify all process of interaction of staff of STK "Your House" with contractors and to minimize risk of loading of the wrong prices in a system and the accidental admission of any documents or protocols. Now contractors of the company had an automatic information access about the order, and heads of divisions can keep track in real time of the status of approval of protocols of the prices and orders on any of suppliers. Thus, with SAP implementation of Entreprise Portal in STK "Your House" the level of transparency and availability of management information increased.
