Catbird vSecurity is the solution intended for protection and automatic control of observance of standards and it is capable to ensure the automated safety for statically and dynamically selected virtual workstations. Results of integration of Catbird with VMware will allow clients of CatbirdvSecurity to receive security, best in the industry, at significantly smaller costs. The module CatbirdvCompliance is a part the solution CatbirdvSecurity and is designed to provide permanent monitoring of compliance to requirements of the PCI DSS 2.0, HIPAA standards, and FISMA.
Except CatbirdTrustZone automation, following features are developed for VMware View 5.1:
- the simple and safe mechanism of implementation for virtual workstations on the basis of templates;
- automation politician of CatbirdTrustZones;
- the CatbirdIntra-ZoneIsolation function for automatic isolation and protection of the virtual workstations working with confidential data;
- module Satbirdvcompliancedlya of permanent monitoring of compliance of a configuration of virtual workstations to requirements of PCI 2.0, HIPAA (NISTSP 800-66), FISMA (NISTSP 800-53), DIACAP and other industry regulators.
The innovative solution of CatbirdvSecurity reduces risks and provides compliance to industry standards, considering all groups of the arising risks for all lifecycle of implementation of virtualization. CatbirdvSecurity instantly defines the compromised assets, notifies the corresponding personnel and isolates malefactors in a quarantine zone. Any other supplier will not be able to provide such security level and observance of industry standards of security in virtual infrastructure.
Catbird vSecurity 5.5
The version of Catbird vSecurity 5.5 has wide functionality on monitoring and control of observance of requirements of industry standards and provides IT specialists with all necessary tools for successful passing of audit.
Catbird vSecurity is the program-controlled solution which will allow to refuse expensive hardware complexes for security of virtual and cloud environments. vSecurity ensures safety of the virtualized components directly in virtual infrastructure. The same as virtualization allows to abstract from physical iron, and program-controlled solutions for security allow not to become attached to expensive highly specialized hardware solutions, traditional models which are extremely difficult for using in software-defined DPCs (software-defined datacenter). As a result the security system becomes more flexible, reliable and less expensive.
New opportunities of vSecurity 5.5:
- Management of vulnerabilities and configurations (Vulnerability and Configuration Management) - Catbird vSecurity 5.5 executes permanent automatic scanning of the virtualized environment regarding the known vulnerabilities, sends notifications, creates reports and can send optionally to a quarantine resources on which vulnerabilities are detected. Except other, the functionality for investigation of incidents and management of false operations is provided.
- Monitoring of compliance to requirements of industry standards (Compliance Monitoring) - Catbird vSecurity has a large number of additional checks and control points for confirmation of conformity to requirements of PCI and other industry standards. The packet the politician and settings which will allow to execute all necessary configuring for one click is also provided.
- Report generation for the period (Vulnerability Trend Reporting) - vSecurity 5.5 allows to carry out efficiency analysis of a management system for vulnerabilities in a data processing center. The report for the specified time frame contains unrolled data on all revealed vulnerabilities in preference order and criticalities for a security system.
- Management of politicians of scanning (Scan Policy Management) - vSecurity 5.5 gives the chance to security experts to configure automatic politicians, based on criteria of vulnerability in MITRE Common Vulnerability Enumeration (CVE) and NIST Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) bases.
