At 2 railway stations and the central bus station of Ryazan the systems of face recognition VOCORD FaceControl are installed. 6 boundaries of control where all passengers get to a zone of selection and face recognition are equipped.

For installation of a system of biometric identification the customer - Regional Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs across the Ryazan region - selected several key zones through which at the station there passes the main flow of people. At Ryazan-1 station and on bus station are inputs to the station and exits to the platform, at Ryazan-2 station – the underground passage to the station and an exit to the platform. Such arrangement of boundaries allowed to control the main flow of passengers and to monitor emergence of persons from bases of search of police.

At boundaries of control the specialized video cameras VOCORD NetCam intended for work in the systems of face recognition are installed. These cameras of high resolution create 2 video flows – compressed and uncompressed. Algorithms of face recognition work with uncompressed video that improves reliability of recognition.

VOCORD FaceControl works in the noncooperative mode: selects persons of the people who are entering the building of the station or coming to the platform, saves images and compares them to images in the database. Speed of system operation allows "take" persons from all flow in real time and without the need for any "cooperation" of passengers with a system. At coincidence to the image in the database, operators of a system receive the notification and can quickly react. Persons of the people who passed through control boundaries remain in archive. There they can be found on time of pass, probability of coincidence to photos in the database and also to play the video fragment of their emergence.

VOCORD FaceControl in Ryazan is the first geographically distributed system of face recognition in Russia. A server part of a system is in Command center dresses across Ryazan. From there operators far off and on a centralized basis control all 6 boundaries of face recognition.

Face recognition added the end-to-end system of security created within the Safe City project Ryazan. In Ryazan there is already a network of cameras of survey video surveillance based on the product VOCORD Tahion, and on the main routes conducting to the city there is a system of photofixing of violations of traffic regulations VOCORD Traffic. Joint work of these systems automates, increases efficiency and efficiency of work of police officers. For example, use of survey video surveillance, face recognition and numbers of machines in a uniform sheaf already helped police of Ryazan to identify the machine of the suspect who was initially noticed on cameras of survey video surveillance.

The system of face recognition is used by different services of police both for search of suspects, and for search of missing persons. In the long term – analytics of images in archive for obtaining statistics of emergence of certain persons in certain places.

The TeleServ company, the system integrator specializing in implementation of large infrastructure projects for the benefit of state bodies and corporate clients was engaged in implementation. The equipment of Vokord company, producer of professional security systems for projects of the Safe City level is used.
