Aquafon GSM starts operation of a new data processing center

JV Utilex-Abkhazia implemented an implementation project of a data processing center for the benefit of AQUAFON GSM mobile operator.

Expectations

The data processing center of AQUAFON GSM mobile operator, largest in Abkhazia, is brought into production operation. Information capacities of new infrastructure will allow the operator to increase service quality of subscribers and to create conditions for increase in capacity of network, having provided the growing needs of residents of Abkhazia for high-quality telecommunication services.

Task

To provide an effective complex of reliable modern services and to support the high level of service in the conditions of growth of number of subscribers, the company management made the decision on construction in the capital of Abkhazia of the advanced Administrative and Technical complex including a large-scale data processing center, analogs which in the republic do not exist today. This DPC is a crucial element of infrastructure of the company and provides a possibility of further development of technical base of the operator.

For design and creation of DPC the management of AQUAFON GSM invited JV Utilex-Abkhazia, affiliated enterprise of the Russian company "Utilex".

During the first stage of joint work by specialists AQUAFON GSM and Utilex-Abkhazia were formulated the concept of the project and detailed technical specifications which considered all requirements of the company and feature of the building. Project implementation was enabled accurately on the drawn-up plan, and as a result in May, 2012 the DPC, largest in the republic, was brought into operation.

Solution

The end-to-end system of fire extinguishing which is completely made in Germany by specialists of Minimax company - the equipment manufacturer recognized around the world and services of fire-prevention appointment became important feature of DPC. The quality of the equipment Minimax is considered the best around the world in the class. The structured cabling system is constructed on the equipment AMP NETCONNECT.

Placement of zones of DPC and the switch in one premises allowed specialists" to implement AQUAFON GSM and Utilex-Abkhazia within this project the unique solution by the efficiency – a structured cabling system for the switch which allowed to connect wiring closets with the IT equipment. Over each equipment cabinet both optical, and copper patch panels are installed. It increases connection speed and saves from need to lay additional cables in a switch zone.

Together we managed to develop accurate requirements to infrastructure, the budget and terms of accomplishment of each stage of the project. As a result of such system approach all purposes and tasks which we set for new infrastructure were reached".
