Severstal continues SAP HANA implementation project

Charkin Evgeny, the director of information technology of Severstal company, told that the final decision on industrial SAP implementation of HANA is not made yet though he and 'looks optimistically' at this question. So far the product is implemented at the enterprise only as 'demoprimer', on 'a mold from the data warehouse'. To be fair we will call the quantitative indices of results of a pilot project made by the representative of Severstal: 'the effect of acceleration' was data processings at approbation of a product from 5 to 100 krat, reduction of speed of data loading — for 30%.

Project Progress

On September 18, 2014 it became known of continuation of an implementation project of SAP HANA.

Since 2012 in Severstal works on implementation of business applications on the basis of this platform are conducted. Basic purpose of pilot projects – to accelerate providing the reporting for managers that will reduce decision making terms, will increase their accuracy, finally – will provide flexible business - very important condition for achievement of success in modern conditions.

For September 17, 2014 the possibility of transfer to HANA not only the systems of the business analysis, but all ERP applications is discussed.
