Government of the Oryol region (VPN Projects)

Rostelecom and the government of the Oryol region signed in the spring of 2012 the agreement on cooperation on creation of the Uniform Information Communication Network (UICN) for public authorities and local government authorities. Signatures under the white paper delivered the vice president – the director of macroregional branch "Centre" of Rostelecom company Vyacheslav Kozelsky and the governor of the Oryol region Alexander Kozlov.

Within the agreement, Rostelecom will construct for the government of the Oryol region VPN networks for all administrations of municipal entities, organizations of education and health care, the organizations and the population. The project also provides laying of the communication fiber lines (CFL) to all localities of the Oryol region. All automatic telephone exchanges located in the administrative centers of municipal entities will be connected to the fiber-optic communication line. It will allow to reduce considerably the level of digital inequality, due to provision of services of broadband access in network to local population and the commercial organizations.

"Implementation of this agreement, undoubtedly, will improve quality of life of the population, will allow to solve social, economic and other socially significant tasks, relevant for area, in the field of electronic communications", – the governor of the Oryol region Alexander Kozlov noted.
