On June 4, 2012 the Russian Navigation Technologies (RNT) company announced the beginning of sales in Online store and cellular shops of OJSC MegaFon in Moscow of a shrink-wrapped software product Megafon-Avtokontrol for the consumer market developed by JSC RNT company especially for OJSC MegaFon.
This product is expected the car owners wishing to receive a modern satellite security system with the minimum costs. Retail price of a set is 4999 rub, the amount of a monthly subscription fee of 300 rub. A system Megafon-Avtokontrol immediately informs on cases of unauthorized use of the car using the Sms or a call on the mobile phone of the owner. Besides, movements of the car are displayed on the card in the WEB INTERFACE of service online. In the same place it is possible to browse the history of movements of the vehicle (V) for any period.
The buyer can install the onboard block of a system Megafon-Avtokontrol independently. It can be placed in inside of the car, having powered from the slot of the lighter. And it is possible to place it is reserved: in podkapotny space, in a luggage carrier or somewhere else. In this case installation will become complicated a little, in particular, connection to the accumulator of the CU will be required. But also most of motorists, if desired, will be able to cope with this task, without addressing to car service. The installation instruction, magnetic fastening, a set of collars and wires for connection to the accumulator are included in the delivery.
The effective system of energy saving prevents discharge of joint stock bank, and the built-in accumulator provides not less than 8 hours of completely independent operation. At rather long stop of the machine (several minutes) the built-in accelerometer automatically transfers the onboard block to a status of "dream", including it at a start of motion again. Thus, relocations of the CU are monitored truly, and energy consumption occurs only when the car generator works.
In a system Megafon-Avtokontrol is for the first time used the new compact onboard block created by specialists of RNT based on absolutely new platform of monitoring. At its development only those functions which are really necessary for excellent job of a system Megafon-Avtokontrol were carefully selected and also allow to develop it and to quickly create specialized or more functional products. So, already today new onboard blocks support the RNT corporate technology for wireless connection of sensors, but its use will require the special version of software.
Protection of passenger cars – not the only scope of a set Megafon-Avtokontrol. An opportunity to connect the onboard block to the power supply network with tension of 12 or 24 V allows to use it and on commercial transport. Besides, creation of the similar solution ensuring safety and hijack protection of the different motor-equipment, the most subject to stealings is supposed further.
"Until recently satellite security systems were considered by mobile operators only as consumers of data services according to the scheme M2M. Cooperation with JSC RNT allowed to depart from the similar scheme and to create the unique product not similar to others and focused first of all on mass market, – Yury Prikhodko, the manager on development of telematic services of Capital branch of JSC "Megafon' says. – For success in mass market the product should be not only inexpensive and simple in use, but also faultless, in terms of technical implementation and also more functional, than the existing systems of private monitoring and protection of cars. Therefore RNT company became our partner, and we are satisfied with results of our cooperation. A system "Megafon-Avtokontrol' is convenient and modern, it completely meets the high requirements of our subscribers to products and services".
