The Nauka-Tekhnika-Bezopasnost company implemented a 3D system implementation project - recognitions of a human face for access control on one of objects of the Moscow Kremlin.
Solution
The project is complete at the end of 2011, and since the beginning of 2012 the 3D system - face recognition began to function in an operating mode. The company delivered a system as a part of the mobile module of personal examination (the mobile check point) for access control of employees.
Opinion
As the vice president of Artek Venchurz company Anna Stebleva explained, a system uses a method of the structured illumination of the person. On a human face the grid which is deformed depending on bends of the rays of light getting on it is projected, and on deformations the 3D model is recreated. The camera registers the three-dimensional image, a mathematical model of the person with a submillimeter accuracy, creates a biometric template and writes it in the database. Then every time, opening a door or passing through a tourniquet, protected by the 3D Broadway system, the employee darts a glance at the camera, during less than 1 sec. the camera scans, builds the new image and compares it to written earlier in the database.
